The Confidence Queen was designed to equip girls  with mentorship,educational tools  and life skills  to thrive in school and general life with confidence.

CEO/Founder

Nancy A. Otieno is the CEO/Founder of The Confidence Queen. She has worked within and led multidisciplinary and international teams, and worked across multiple sectors, including international and local non-governmental organizations.She has a vast experience in working with adolescent girls, youths and women in different sectors. She began her career in project management and evolved into other positions’ that led her to  project lead for adolescents and youths  in her previous work.Nancy  serves as the Director of program Operations for Kujenga Tumaini Kenya.She is passionate about  girls and women empowerment and enjoy teaching them to be confident.She envision a world where girls and women  know values, talk freely with  love, freedom and live a fulfilled life full of confidence and be able to create solutions to community problems using technology.

In 2020 after carrying out a research on issues affecting adolescents girls,she realized how low self-image, confidence, or mental challenges affect many girls at  an early age and every stage of their life.

She then developed The Confidence Queen program to provide educational tools and expert advice  to girls and young women to become tech entrepreneurs, innovators, problem solvers and leaders.Through  her experiences, research, mentoring and coaching, her goal is   to help the girls reclaim their confidence life, believe in themselves and let their authentic voice be heard through these tools which help with problem solving   to accomplish their  wildest dreams.

She is a holder of Bachelor of Arts in Project Planning and Management and Masters degree (MBA-Strategic Management)  from The University of Nairobi with additional skills in advocacy,Life coach, behavior change communication and Monitoring and evaluation. She has a wealthy experience of 10+ years cumulatively record of successful launching, directing and managing of education, Adolescent Sexual reproductive health (ASRH), child protection, health, advocacy, nutrition, economic empowerment and mentorship programs by management functions.
